The beauty products company presented its sustainability and social impact report for 2030.
Mary Kay Inc’s global sustainability programme, Enriching Lives Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow, presented a report detailing its sustainability and social impact plans for the coming years. The report details the company’s efforts since 2020, the start of its “Decade of Action”, to reduce its carbon footprint and become a sustainable business.
The report highlights five key areas: business excellence, product management, responsible manufacturing, women’s empowerment and social impact. Among the most relevant points are:
- Gender diversity in leadership: 54% of the executive team is female.
- Deloitte has named it one of the 2022 Best Managed Companies in the US.
- 12% of the company’s indirect suppliers in the US are owned by women, minorities or veterans.
- Receiving OSHA Star Recertification Credentials
- In partnership with The Arbor Day Foundation, supported three global reforestation projects.
- Awarded 14 STEAM scholarships to young women who dream of careers in STEAM-related industries.
- Donation of more than $1.3 million to global organisations working to support women.
